With 20 years experience in the non-profit sector, Carolyn’s professional experience spans area-based conservation and habitat restoration project management with the Nature Conservancy of Canada, species-at-risk captive breeding programs at the Toronto Zoo, youth education and community outreach program development at Scientists in School, and grant administration at York University. She holds Honours Bachelor of Science, majoring in Zoology and Master of Environmental Science degrees, with graduate research investigating how the presence of Ontario’s bumble bee species are impacted by human altered landscapes. Carolyn is a resident of Collingwood, sits on the board of the Friends of Minesing Wetlands and is co-director for Pollinate Collingwood, a local grassroots organization aimed at improving urban areas for native pollinators. In her spare time, Carolyn likes to hike, paddle, backcountry camp, grow veggies at home, and ski at Devil’s Glen.
