Paul’s family first settled and farmed in the area over 190 years ago…you could say the waters of the Beaver River run through his veins…
Paul and Roberta have been giving their time and talents to the ECA and PTLA for the past 3 years.

“Paul and Roberta Woolner have raised over $20,000 for the ECA”

Paul wears many hats including entrepreneur, musician, songwriter and leader of his band Live The Dash. Roberta is a therapeutic movement teacher.

In the past 12 months alone, Paul and Roberta have raised over $20,000 in support of preserving the Beaver Valley with the ECA through various community fundraising events they put together. These include a fundraising dinner hosted at Justin’s Oven Restaurant in Kimberley. This past winter Paul organized the “For The Love Of The Valley” benefit concert with his band at the Marsh Street Centre. The following month, Roberta and friend Pat Rockman dedicated their Heart Body Mind yoga and mindfulness workshop to the ECA. Recently Paul directed all the fees he was paid doing strategy work for a Toronto based youth charity to be directly forwarded to the ECA.

When asked why they volunteer and support the ECA, Roberta and Paul responded: “There are two reasons: We see a once in a generation opportunity and responsibility to conserve the South Georgian Bay Niagara Escarpment for the public good. If we fail to meet the challenge, there is no second chance,  Looking generations ahead, this work is for their well being and the inspiration that comes from being able to walk among the ancient rock forms and the forests of the Escarpment. Secondly, the ECA and its people are a trustworthy, focused organization operating with the competence, character and commitment that this task demands.

Paul is also an active volunteer on the ECA’s Talisman & Beaver Valley Preservation Committee.
