The Escarpment Corridor Alliance recently hosted its inaugural Annual Community Update, bringing together community members, conservation supporters, partners, and friends united by a shared commitment to protecting the Niagara Escarpment landscape.
The evening was an opportunity to reflect on the progress made in 2025 and look ahead to the important work underway in 2026. Guests heard about the ECA’s conservation achievements, future priorities, and the collective efforts helping to protect and connect ecologically sensitive lands across South Georgian Bay — for nature, for people, for good.
From protecting important landscapes to advancing stewardship and conservation initiatives, every achievement highlighted the power of collaboration. The work of conserving the Niagara Escarpment is made possible through the dedication of landholders, volunteers, supporters, community members, and partners who share a vision for a healthier, more connected landscape.
We were also pleased to welcome special guest speaker Mike Hendren from the Ontario Conservation Accelerator, who shared valuable insights and perspectives on advancing conservation efforts.
Thank you to everyone who attended, connected, asked questions, and continues to support the ECA’s mission. Your involvement helps build momentum for meaningful conservation outcomes today and for generations to come. Here’s to another year of collaboration, stewardship, and protecting the places that make the Niagara Escarpment so special.
